Hey hey hey all. First day of school today! :) Why in the world am I using SMILEYS when I'm supposedly bored, pissed, and annoyed? Ok forget it.
I really don't feel like posting it here. But I wanna get it out of my system. I don't want to mention names but I think even if I don't everyone will know who they are. I shall try to state the events of the day OBJECTIVELY. Ok...
Today was Lang first block, but A and B (calling them that. a bit de redundant actually -.-) were supposed to hand up Lit PT. And guess what? Even after one WEEK holiday extensions, they still didn't do it. Figures uh? (Sorry. Too subjective) Lemme rephrase that.
A and B were supposed to hand up Lit PT today because they had gotten an extension of a one week holiday. They didn't do it.
That is way MORE objective. And brings across my point just as well, don't cha think?
Anyway after that was Science. We were supposed to get into groups of 5/6. So Zhen, Tiff, Lisa, Sand, Joanne and I got together. "Got together" sounds weird. Never mind. But Mr Evans was very fed up or something coz we were too noisy/ took too much time to get settled. So coz A and B had no groups, he got damn fed up and in the end put us by register number.
So now in my group: Leti, Sand, Tiff, A, B, me.
There. That wasn't too subjective was it?
Anyway made me damn pissed luhh so irritating how can the teachers do this to us???? HUH?
I totally shouldn't go on. I am in grave danger of flaming. -.- Not that I really care much lah, but... haiz.
Today Mr Evans showed us this gross but interesting clip of symbiotic and NOT so symbiotic relationships between some species of caterpillar and ant or something...
To cut a long story short... Caterpillar X produces some sweet nectar from a THING in its back (the vid used some totally weird word of the body anatomy starting with N- so not fitting k?)and the ants love it like siao. They protect it like anything, etc. Yeah.
However... Caterpillar Y barges into the ant's nest, and nothing the ants do can stop it. Acid, bites, etc. And the ants are so vicious any small insect landing near them is butchered within minutes. Yeah you get the point. Caterpillar Y reaches the QUEEN'S CHAMBER. And yeah. Insects are fiercely loyal to their queen (see, no KING HAHAHAHHA) and they would die for the Queen; but also coz without the Queen the colony dies. I believe their exact quote was "If the Queen dies, the colony dies". I was telling my mom then she said they die when their life span is up right. And I was thinking... should be right? Otherwise they die on the spot? Like AHH MY QUEEN IS DEAD. *heart stops beating and dies* ?? A bit weird? Or maybe they commit suicide. Or is it without their Queen they are not able to go along with the flow systematically or something.
*Just to digress-- There's this series of books called the Empire Series by Raymond E. Feist. It is MARVELLOUS. I think Servant of the Empire, Daughter of the Empire and Mistress of the Empire. Not sure if Daughter and Mistress are II and III or vice versa. Anyway right, it's fictional fantasy, so there was this character called Mara... her dad and brother were killed and her dad was one of the chiefs of the clans. So she has to take over and everything. But basically, there was this cool bee alienoid thing? That was very profitable to them, called... I can't remember -.- and when they build a hive (note these bee things are about human size in the story) they stay there for life luhh. And I think this Queen she had a daughter who was ready to become a Queen... so she let her daughter go with Mara... to work for her and all that. Yeah something like that. So I was thinking that in this case, a daughter can be groomed for the task of Queen after the mother dies. BUT I THOUGHT ALSO. The Queen Bee (hahahah cheerleaders) is the only female in the hive capable of reproducing (hence the importance of the Queen in insect colonies... and the drakes in the hive -- male bees are like male pros. HAHAHH gigolos xP) hence ALL the pp (bees I mean. Or insects. wdv) are the Queen's daughters/sons. So how did she have the ONE daughter to groom to become a Queen?? HMMM? Loopholes are so interesting to find :) Or maybe Feist (author) meant it to be something else, I didn't read closely enough or something xD*
Back to the topic! Wait a moment. What was the topic again?
Ok that does it, I am getting OLD.
Ok. Here goes. So Caterpillar Y EATS ALL THE GRUBS IN THE NURSERY. Zomg there was a close up of the disgusting body munching on the white grub >< Yeah and after that it becomes a butterfly (DAHH) and u would think that the ants can get revenge liao! BUT NO!!!!!! The butterfly has slippery scales on the wings so the ants cant latch on, and any ant that manages to BITE it gets its mouth covered in a white fluff it "obviously finds irritating" (quote). And there was this ant flapping its arms around trying to get it off! It would have looked cute if not for the fact I'm freaking scared of ants. SO OFF THE BUTTERFLY GOES TO LAY MORE EGGS TO HAVE MORE OBNOXIOUS BABIES.

Oh got 35/46 for Chinese PT! 3.6... ok la. at least it will pull my marks up. Hey, I'm not asking for too much...
